Melanie Laurent is a French actress. Over the course of her career, she tried to work in other fields and was a singer and pianist releasing the music album En t’attentdant. She was a screenwriter and a director making The Adopted and Respire.

The Paris-born actress made her debut at 16 acting in The Bridge. Soon Melanie was in Don’t’ Worry, I’m Fine, Inglorious Basterds, Now You See Me, etc. She won many awards (2 Cesar Awards among them). In 2010 she debuted on the stage in Promenade de Sante. She is married and has a son.
